Change is a word people throw around easily. In practice, embodied change usually requires experiences that break with the everyday.

Enter a four-system cultural interface:

1. PICTURESQ 2—(image—interface system)

2. SIMULATEDQ 2—(cultural astro—interface-system)

These two systems operate as parallel art languages, and as cultural readymades—existing structures drawn from circulation and re-situated as tools for reading (the other). Neither system dominates; meaning emerges through their interplay. Each offers different opportunities to structure experience in ways that our first language often fails to do.

PICTURESQ—2 begins with image—circulation, framing, and repetition as cultural logic. SIMULATEDQ—2  extends to the galactic object,  interpreting space —alignments,  observable relations—as cultural signs within the PSYCH (IC) Courtesan's superhero logic. 

PSYCH (IC) Courtesan and its two cultural interfaces are situated in the broader CONCEPTUAL ARTQ universe (CU), drawing from it's post-self operating system, culturally rich in critical fashion and screen/film/TV, visual art, sports and q(ued) with a deeper and wider understanding of gender, sexuality, the auteur (creative individual), and the ecosystem.

The Life Simulation translates across these systems. Patterns, tensions, and possibilities are not explained but staged—moving between image and cultural astro giving situations dramatic form that can be recognised, tested, and reworked. Exploration then harnesses story—yours, mine, ours—to produce an intellectually alive, edge-aware therapeutic context in which the individual is read within the culture they inhabit.

The thing about culture, which is not to be taken lightly, is that  has a way of positioning us to accept less than we're worth, but the right strategy can cut through the most unfair of situations. The self of the thing is the most important work to do - the buck still stops, right? But so many unmet expectations begin in the cultural, not the personal template of what a woman or man should be, most of which is not fit for the complexities of the 21st century. Without a clearer idea of the unfolding roles, tough times push us back on binary defaults that are at their most comfortable in culture of origin. Yikes! I don't know about you, but this is not a place I want to be going for advice. 

The cultural intelligence that comes with a clearer understanding of gender, race, sexuality and age for example, and the quality personal, professional and creative lives that result, is our end game. The idea is to recover, restart, reinstate and regroup, with an eye focused on what is there now, that wasn't there before. You're not lucky to have experienced trauma (we're not going to be picking ourselves up from the bootstraps), but it is the transformation zone. That hard one, but glorious place, where the heavy stuff is integrated so seamlessly that the skin sloughs off and we move powerfully forward.
